Apple has officially confirmed that there are 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus out in the world, setting a new record for an iPhone launch. This launch has beaten that of the 5s and 5c by a million and crushing the 5 sales by 5 million.
Earlier this week Apple set another record for pre-ordering 4 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in the first 24 hours. In a press release by Tim Cook he said that they could of sold “many more iPhones with greater supply.” and that they have exceeded sales “by a larger margin”.
Apple does intend to start selling the device in 20 additional countries this week including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
